Kalect Island

Kalect Island (50˚54'00" 127˚51'00" E side of Hope I, off N tip of Vancouver I). Chief George Kalect of Hope I was a negotiator for the Kwakwaka’wakw First Nation during the 1913–16 BC Royal Commission on Indian Affairs, also known as the McKenna-McBride Commission.
