Keecha Point


Keecha Point (53˚18'00" 129˚49'00" SE side of Banks I). Named after the Gitxaala First Nation reserve at the mouth of nearby Keecha Ck. This important salmon stream was probably the one visited in 1787 by early fur trader James Colnett of the Prince of Wales. The Gitxaala (Kitkatla) people are a branch of the Tsimshian First Nation.
