Ker Island


Ker Island (48˚40'00" 123˚22'00" Off Tsehum Hbr and Sidney, NE end of Saanich Peninsula, N of Victoria). Victoria’s David Russell Ker (1862–1923) joined Henry Brackman (see Brackman I) in 1882 to form the Brackman-Ker Milling Co. Their original gristmill was located at Tsehum Hbr, but in the 1890s the partners built a much larger one on Victoria Hbr and produced flour and a variety of animal feeds.
