Ketchen Island (50˚23'00" 127˚27'00" W side of Neroutsos Inlet, S of Port Alice, N Vancouver I). According to BC’s Geographical Names Office, this feature was named in 1927 after civil engineer W L Ketchen, superintendent of Port Alice Pulp & Paper Mills in 1925. There is a BC Archives death record for William Laird Ketchen, aged 60, at Vancouver in 1935. He married Agnes Mary Bladon (b 1873) at Montreal in 1902.
