Kindakun Point

Kindakun Point (53˚19'00" 132˚45'00" N entrance to Kano Inlet, SW side of Graham I, QCI), Kindakun Rock (53˚19'00" 132˚48'00" Off Kindakun Point). The Haida name for the point was adopted in 1897 by naturalist Dr Charles Newcombe. It can be a dangerous spot for mariners, surrounded as it is by rocks and strong cross-currents. During WWII Kindakun Point was the site of a lonely coast-watcher station—a primitive log cabin that was still visible in the 1970s.
