Kyen Point

Kyen Point (48˚57'00" 125˚12'00" NW end of Imperial Eagle Channel, Barkley Sd, W side of Vancouver I). A Nuu-chah-nulth word meaning “crow,” according to Scenes and Studies of Savage Life, an 1868 work by Gilbert Sproat, which includes a Nootkan vocabulary. Ka’in or kaa’in is a more contemporary transliteration of this word. Formerly known as Green Point.
