Kynumpt Harbour


Kynumpt Harbour (52˚12'00" 128˚10'00" N end of Campbell I, S side of Seaforth Channel, just NW of Bella Bella). Lt Daniel Pender named this feature in 1867 after a Heiltsuk First Nation chief who once lived in the vicinity. The harbour was a traditional summer camp, used by the Heiltsuk for gathering berries and harvesting potatoes.
