Lang Cove


Lang Cove (48˚26'00" 123˚25'00" E end of Constance Cove, E side of Esquimalt Hbr, just W of Victoria). RN officer Edward Wollaston Lang (d 1897) served on the Pacific Station, 1843–47, as 4th lt of HMS Fisgard. The Fisgard was one of the first vessels to anchor in Esquimalt Hbr, and Lt Cdr James Wood, who surveyed the area with HMS Pandora in 1846, named many features in the harbour after the Fisgards officers.
