Larso Bay

Larso Bay (52˚10'00" 126˚51'00" E side of S Bentinck Arm, just S of Bella Coola). According to records at BC’s Geographical Names Office, V Larso was an early settler in the Bella Coola valley. Larso Bay was the site of a logging camp, long since abandoned, and known locally as Camp Two Bay. A ruined wharf was still visible in the early 2000s. Nearby is one of the world’s largest western red cedar trees, 5 m across and more than 1,500 years old.
