Law Point (49˚09'09" 123˚41'52" N side of Silva Bay, E end of Gabriola I, Gulf Is). Alexander Law, a native of Scotland, came to Gabriola I in 1907 with his son Robert and purchased land at the E end of the island from John and Louisa Silva. Robert Brown Law (1873–1939) married Ruby Margaret Stenhouse (1884–1963) at Vancouver in 1911, and they both lived on Gabriola for the rest of their lives, raising four children and taking active roles in community affairs.
