Leonard Point


Leonard Point (50˚36'00" 126˚56'00" N side of Cormorant I, off NE end of Vancouver I, just E of Port McNeill), Leonard Rock (50˚36'00" 126˚58'00" Just W of Cormorant I). Named by Capt George Richards, of the RN survey vessel Plumper, after Frederick Lewis Leonard, a surgeon aboard HMS Alert. He served on the Pacific Station 1858–61, under Cdr William Pearse.
