Linthlop Islet (50˚30'00" 127˚51'00" E side of Koprino Hbr, Quatsino Sd, NW Vancouver I). Howard Douglas Linthlop (c 1877–1961), from Halifax, secured Crown grants of land in this vicinity in 1909 and 1912, and was described in the 1908 BC voters list as a prospector at Quatsino. He married Eilleen Gladys Bentley at Vancouver in 1918, and the Linthlops’ daughter, Hilda, was born at Courtenay the following year. Howard died at Vancouver.
