Lyons Cove

Lyons Cove (49˚30'20" 123˚54'30" On Halfmoon Bay, W of Sechelt and NW of Vancouver). This feature commemorates Frank Alexander Lyons (1894–1980), from Ireland, and Eva Lyons, long-time residents of Halfmoon Bay. They came to the area about 1940 to work for Redrooffs Resort; Frank managed the rental cottages and Eva looked after the dining room. The name was adopted in 1988 after being submitted by the Sunshine Coast Regional District, with a petition of support from local residents....
