Mabbs Islet


Mabbs Islet (53˚01'00" 131˚56'00" NE entrance to Carmichael Passage, NW side of Louise I, E of Moresby I, QCI). Named in 1926 for Capt Edward Mabbs (1880–1942), master for many years of the GTP (later CNR) steamship Prince John on its regular runs to the QCI. He married Barbara Violet Leicester at Vancouver in 1918 and died in the Skeena district.
