MacKenzie Beach (49˚08'00" 125˚54'00" E side of Templar Channel, just S of Tofino, W side of Vancouver I). This well-established local name was adopted in 1975 to honour Bob and Doris MacKenzie. They ran a resort here in the 1960s and ’70s and owned a large piece of property, which was subdivided about 1970 and developed for additional tourism facilities. Previously known as Garrard’s Beach (see Garrard Group).
