Matheson Inlet

Matheson Inlet (52˚27'00" 131˚28'00" S of Werner Bay, E side of Moresby I, QCI). J Matheson was a mining speculator in the Lockeport area in the early 1900s. He and his partner, D Bowser, apparently owned the Surprise copper claim on Klunkwoi Bay in 1908, adjacent to the better-known Last Chance group of properties. The inlet was known locally by fishermen for many years as South Werner Bay. D
