McGrath Point

McGrath Point (50˚05'00" 127˚11'00" E side of Moketas I, Kyuquot Sd, NW side of Vancouver I). Capt Luke McGrath (b 1861), from Halifax, commenced his seafaring career on the schooner Revere from the fishing port of Gloucester. He came to Victoria in 1890 and served as the skipper of several sealing schooners in the early days of the industry, including the Penelope and Florence M Smith.
