McInnes Island (52˚15'45" 128˚43'20" Off SW side of Price I, Hecate Str, NW of Bella Bella). Thomas Robert McInnes (1840–1904) was born on Cape Breton I and educated at Harvard and Chicago’s Rush Medical College. He settled with his family in Ont but moved to BC in 1874 and established a medical practice at New Westminster, where he became involved in politics, serving as mayor, 1877–78, and MP, 1878–81.
