McIntosh Bay

McIntosh Bay (50˚52'00" 126˚31'00" N side of Simoom Sd, N of Gilford I and E end of Queen Charlotte Str). RCAF flying officer John David McIntosh, from Simoom Sd, was killed in action on Feb 15, 1944, aged 21. He was a member of No 550 (RAF) Squadron, which flew Lancaster heavy bombers during WWII, and is buried at the Berlin 1939–1945 War Cemetery.
