McPhee Point (52˚52'00" 129˚08'00" S of Racey Inlet, W side of Princess Royal I). J D McPhee worked for the Union Steamship Co as mate on various vessels pre-WWI. After returning from overseas duty, where he served with Tobin’s Tigers, the 29th (Vancouver) Battalion of the Canadian Expeditionary Force, and was wounded in action, he became master of the Chilcoot. In 1927 he was appointed the first master of the Chilliwack.
