Meynell Point


Meynell Point (50˚37'00" 126˚55'00" S side of Malcolm I, SE end of Queen Charlotte Str, off NE side of Vancouver I). This feature was named by the Geographic Board of Canada in 1906, in association with Malcolm I. Capt Henry Meynell (c 1789–1865), who entered the RN in 1803, was flag capt on HMS Newcastle to Rear Adm Sir Pulteney Malcolm in 1816.
