Mill Stream


Mill Stream (48˚27'20" 123˚27'30" Flows SE then NE into the head of Esquimalt Hbr, just NW of Victoria). In 1848 the HBC built the first sawmill in BC on this creek, about 500 m above the present Parson’s Bridge. Lumber was shipped from the sawmill to Ft Langley and California in 1849 and later also to Hawaii. In 1850 the first flour or gristmill was built just below the sawmill.
