Moses Point (48˚41'00" 123˚29'00" N entrance to Deep Cove, NW end of Saanich Peninsula, NW of Sidney and Victoria). Named after Daniel David Moses (1832–1910), born in Wales, who immigrated to Pennsylvania and moved to California in 1855. Daniel and his brother Evan walked to Idaho and back in search of gold, then moved to the Cariboo.
