Mowitch Point (54˚10'00" 130˚01'00" N side of the Skeena R, NW of Port Essington, SE of Prince Rupert). Mowich or mowitch is the word for deer or “venison” in Chinook jargon, the pidgin language used on the W coast by First Nation groups and early traders and settlers.
