Neville Point


Neville Point (50˚29'00" 126˚05'00" W entrance to Port Neville), Port Neville (50˚30'00" 126˚00'00" Off N side of Johnstone Str, between Cracroft Is and Hardwicke I). Port Neville was examined by Lt Peter Puget and Joseph Whidbey, master of HMS Discovery, in 1792. Capt George Vancouver named it and pronounced it “very snug and commodious,” though the source of the name is not certain.
