Nicolaye Channel (50˚00'00" 127˚20'00" Between Union I and the Mission Group, off N entrance to Kyuquot Sd, NW side of Vancouver I). Roman Catholic priest Peter Joseph Nicolaye (b 1850), from the Limburg region of the Netherlands, was educated at Louvain College, Belgium, and arrived at Victoria in 1876.
