Nile Point


Nile Point (49˚46'00" 123˚59'00" NE end of Nelson I, Jervis Inlet, NW of Vancouver). Named by the hydrographic service in 1945 in association with Nelson I to commemorate Horatio Nelson’s victory in the 1798 Battle of the Nile. Nelson was a rear adm at the time, in command of a squadron of 14 vessels with HMS Vanguard as his flagship.
