Oaks Bluff


Oaks Bluff (48˚45'00" 123˚16'00" W side of N Pender I, Gulf Is). The extreme S end of N Pender I was fenced off about 1900 to raise sheep, and this 250-ha range was known as The Oaks. The name, of course, came from the abundant Garry oaks (Quercus garryana) in the area.
