Odin Cove


Odin Cove (52˚12'00" 128˚11'00" E of N entrance to Raymond Passage, Seaforth Channel, just NW of Bella Bella). Named in 1925 after Capt George Francis Odin (1837–1910), who was born at NY and came W in 1858. He worked first on Puget Sd aboard the schooner Sea Foam but soon arrived in BC, where he developed a reputation as one of the most skilful and fiercely competitive of the pioneer riverboat skippers. Odin worked on the Stikine R in the mid-1870s as capt of the Gem, Gertrude and Alaskan....
