Okime Island

Okime Island (50˚02'00" 127˚21'00" Entrance to McKay Cove, just N of entrance to Kyuquot Sd, NW side of Vancouver I). The name may possibly be derived from a Nuu-chah-nulth word meaning “sunny.” In the early 2000s, the island was the site of the Kyuquot Health Centre, a remote outpost nursing clinic.
