Olsen Island (49˚30'00" 124˚22'00" NW entrance to False Bay, Lasqueti I, Str of Georgia). Andrew Olsen pre-empted land in this vicinity in 1891 and received a Crown grant in 1896. He was apparently one of several Lasqueti settlers to sell his property to John Stapleton Grey Pemberton, an Englishman and absentee landlord who assembled a large estate on the NW part of the island.
