Ormiston Point (53˚34'00" 129˚39'00" W side of Grenville Channel, NW of Lowe Inlet, E side of Pitt I). Master mariner Silas Charles Herbert Ormiston (1874–1925) was born on Cape Breton I. In 1902 he married Clara May Morash (1874–1950), also from NS, and moved to Victoria, where he joined the CPR’s BC Coast Steamship Service as a quartermaster in 1905.
