Parry Patch


Parry Patch (52˚41'00" 128˚32'00" In Tolmie Channel, off NE end of Swindle I and SE end of Princess Royal I). Named for CGS Parry, a 27-m, 99-tonne diesel vessel that saw duty with the Canadian Hydrographic Service from 1947 to 1967 on all parts of the BC coast. With its crew of 13 and survey staff of four, it conducted hydrographic, tide and current surveys and also assisted in the 1958 demolition of Ripple Rk.
