Payne Point


Payne Point (48˚48'00" 123˚13'00" W side of Saturna I, Gulf Is). This point is believed to be named after Gerald Fitzroy Payne (1870–1952), a wealthy young Englishman who followed his older brother Charles out to BC in 1886. Charles had bought property in the Gulf Is and at Oak Bay, and built a house on Saturna I with his friend Warburton Pike.
