Pedder Bay (48˚20'00" 123˚33'00" S side of William Head, S tip of Vancouver I). This body of water was named in 1846 by Capt Henry Kellett of HMS Herald, probably after a friend, William Pedder, who was stationed in Hong Kong when Kellett was there in 1840–42 with HMS Starling.
