Peel Inlet

Peel Inlet (52˚59'00" 132˚06'00" SE extension of Kuper Inlet, NW Moresby I, QCI), Peel Island (50˚44'00" 127˚24'00" NW of Deer I, Beaver Hbr, just E of Port Hardy, NE end of Vancouver I), Peel Point (52˚59'40" 132˚09'10" S entrance to Peel Inlet). Francis Peel (d 1873) was 3rd lt aboard HMS Thetis, under Capt Augustus Kuper, and served on the Pacific Station, 1850–53. In 1857 he was cdr of HMS Buzzard off the E coast of S America.
