Peile Point


Peile Point (48˚51'00" 123˚24'00" N tip of Prevost I, E of Saltspring I, Gulf Is). Named after Mountford Stephen Lovick Peile (1824–85), who served as 1st lt of HMS Satellite, under Capt James Prevost, on the Pacific Station, 1857–60. He was later appointed to HMS Royal Adelaide, flagship of the port adm at Devonport.
