Penelakut Spit (48˚59'00" 123˚38'00" NE side of Kuper I, NW of Saltspring I, Gulf Is). The Penelakut First Nation, part of the Coast Salish confederacy known today as the Hul’qumi’num, were famous for their skills as sea-lion hunters.
