Penn Harbour


Penn Harbour (52˚58'00" 128˚57'00" E side of Surf Inlet, W side of Princess Royal I). Named in 1926 after Fred H Penn, gen manager of the large gold mine located on Princess Royal I and owned by Belmont Surf Inlet Mines Ltd. Penn was originally the mill superintendent from 1917, when the mine opened, until 1921, when he was promoted to mine superintendent.
