Pimbury Point (49˚11'00" 123˚57'00" S end of Departure Bay, at Nanaimo, SE side of Vancouver I). Edwin Pimbury (1835–1909) was a pioneer merchant at Nanaimo. A native of Gloucestershire, he came to Canada via Australia in 1856 with his brother Augustus, then gravitated to BC about 1861 for the Cariboo gold rush. Two other brothers joined them in Canada.
