Pinkerton Islands (48˚57'00" 125˚17'00" N of the Broken Group, SE of Lyall Point, Barkley Sd, W side of Vancouver I). James H Pinkerton pre-empted land on Sechart Channel in 1891. As soon as he had received a Crown grant to his property, in 1895, he sold part or all of it to James Crawford Anderson, a local prospector and speculator.
