Point Cumming (53˚19'00" 129˚07'00" SW end of Gribbell I, S of entrance to Douglas Channel). Capt George Vancouver named this feature without explanation in 1793. There was an able seaman called John Cummings aboard HMS Discovery, but it is unlikely that he was the source, as Vancouver normally reserved the honour of a place name for RN officers or European notables.
