Popham Island


Popham Island (49˚22'00" 123˚29'00" SE side of Barfleur Passage, W of Bowen I, Howe Sd, NW of Vancouver). This feature was named by Capt George Richards in 1860, the same year that he named many other places in Howe Sd after participants in the great 1794 British naval victory known as the Glorious First of June.
