Prospect Point (49˚19'00" 123˚08'00" S side of First Narrows, Burrard Inlet, Vancouver). The point, obviously named for its fine view of the N Shore mountains, was the site of an early lighthouse marking the SW entrance to Vancouver Hbr. The light was constructed in 1888 and kept by John Grove until 1926, when it was automated. In 1910 a signal station was built on the cliff above the lighthouse, near where the restaurant is today; it regulated all shipping activity through First Narrows...
