Racey Inlet


Racey Inlet (52˚52'00" 129˚04'00" E of entrance to Surf Inlet, W side of Princess Royal I). Percy Wise Racey was a US mining engineer who was active in mine development and management in BC for more than 30 years. He married Olga Mabel Watson at Summerland in 1915. Racey was engineer at the Surf Inlet gold mine in 1921 and mine superintendent in 1922–23. Before arriving at Princess Royal I, he supervised mining work in the Alice Arm and Stewart areas.
