Raglan Point


Raglan Point (50˚52'00" 127˚38'00" N end of Balaklava I, Gordon Channel, NW of Port Hardy). Part of a suite of names given in 1863–64 by Lt Daniel Pender to commemorate the famous Charge of the Light Brigade during the Crimean War. Gen FitzRoy James Henry Somerset, 1st Baron Raglan (1788–1855), was the British Army cdr in the Crimea in 1854.
