Ramsden Point


Ramsden Point (54˚59'00" 130˚06'00" S end of peninsula between Portland Canal and Observatory Inlet, N of Prince Rupert). Named by Capt George Vancouver in 1793 after Jesse Ramsden (1735–1800), a scientific and astronomical instrument maker who supplied several of the nautical devices used on Vancouver’s voyage.
