Raphoe Point


Raphoe Point (52˚43'00" 126˚58'00" W side of Dean Channel, NW of Bella Coola). Capt George Vancouver named Raphoe Point in 1793 in association with King I (qv) and “Dean’s Canal” (Dean Channel), after Rev James King (d 1795), dean at the old episcopal city of Raphoe, Ireland.
