Rathtrevor Beach


Rathtrevor Beach (49˚19'00" 124˚16'00" Just S of Parksville, NW of Nanaimo, E side of Vancouver I). Gold prospector William H Rath (1830–1904), a native of Ireland, came to this area about 1886 and bought land from the E&N in 1895. He and his wife, Elizabeth, built a log cabin and barn and created the Wildrose Farm. William was appointed the district’s justice of the peace.
