Reay Island (48˚41'00" 123˚20'00" W side of Prevost Pass, E of Coal I and N end of Saanich Peninsula). William Reay (1820–90) and his brother Charles Henry Reay (1821–99) came out from England in 1854 and joined the gold rush before settling down and farming in the N Saanich area.
